May Highlights
Mother's Day Social
The children worked so hard to pull this together. First they made the invitations for their mom, then mom's present, and then they made flowers for the vases. The morning of the social they helped decorated the backdrop for the picture corner and they put the table clothes on the tables placed the flower petals in the center of the tables and then each child got to place a napkin and cup at their spot. When the moms arrived they escorted their mom to their chair and then they went to the food tables to get a drink and some food for their mom. What a wonderful way to celebrate their mom!

Fire Station Field Trip
Today we went to visit the station on Two Nations Crossing. What a terrific way to introduce your child to the role firefighters play.
 |
| Here the fire fighter lets the children see his gear up close. |
 |
| Then he got into all of his gear and got down on all fours to show the children what to do in case of a fire. He told them that they would need to stay close to the floor and that when the fire fighters call out to see if there is anyone in the room that they should respond, not hide. |
Our Favorites Day
Today was all about their favorite things. We did the lava lamps science experiment that they enjoyed at the beginning of the year. A round or two of sleeping bunnies and then outside play.
